Connect
Grow
Belong

At BLC Community Services, we recognize the vital role that meaningful connections and shared activities play in building a strong, healthy, and supportive community. Our Community Events and Interest Groups  bring people together through shared passions and hobbies, fostering social integration and improving community health outcomes.

From fitness and wellness activities to cultural exchange sessions, our Interest Groups and Engagement Events are designed to welcome individuals from all walks of life. These sessions offer a safe and inclusive environment where participants can make new friends, develop new skills, and find a sense of belonging.

We believe that strengthening community ties can positively impact mental well-being, reduce isolation, and promote mutual understanding. Whether you’re looking to reignite an old hobby or try something new, our Interest Groups provide opportunities for connection, collaboration, and personal growth.

Community Days

Lim Kopi — Where Community Comes Alive

We believe some of the best connections happen over a simple cup of kopi (or teh, or milo).

Through our monthly Community Day drop-ins and neighbourly hospitality, we create everyday spaces where people can slow down, say hello and build friendships that last — whether you’ve been in Joo Chiat for decades or just moved in last week.

Come sit with us… there’s always room at the table.

Celebrations — Sharing Joy, Strengthening Community

Joyous occasions bring the neighbourhood together.

Festive meals, lively activities and meaningful traditions help us celebrate what we have in common — while appreciating what makes each of us unique. Lunar New Year, Children’s Day, Christmas and more… each celebration is a moment to lift one another up and deepen our bonds as one Joo Chiat community.

Let’s keep celebrating what makes this place feel like home.

Making Music, Making Friends

There's something special about playing music side by side. Our ukelele group brings people together to strum simple chords, sing familar tunes and enjoy a relaxed, creative time with friends.

No pressure - just the joy of learning something new together. Performances to the underprivileged when you are ready. We meet every 1st and 3rd Saturday, 1-2pm.

Come add your voice and your rhythm to a community that loves to connect through music!
